Information We Receive
A query typed into a sponsored search box is sent to the third-party provider that powers it and is governed by that provider’s privacy terms. We may receive information submitted in a contact message. Standard technical logs can include IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, date, time, and general location. Cookies or similar tools may remember preferences, measure use, support ads, or help prevent abuse.
How Data Is Used
Information may be used to operate and secure the site, answer messages, understand traffic, improve content, prevent misuse, and show or measure advertising. We do not operate the Etowah County Sheriff’s roster, SmartWeb, ADOC, VINELink, BOP, or ICE systems.
Outside Sites and Providers
Links lead to government offices and other services with their own policies. Search partners, analytics vendors, hosting providers, and advertising networks may receive technical or interaction data needed to provide their services. Review an outside service’s terms before submitting a name, contact detail, or other information.
When Information May Be Shared
Data may be disclosed to search partners, analytics services, ad networks, and vendors that support site operations. It may also be disclosed to law enforcement or another authority when required by a valid legal order, or when reasonably needed to protect rights, safety, or site security. We do not sell official Etowah County records because we do not hold them.
Security and Retention
Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online system or transmission can be promised as fully secure. Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the stated purpose, legal obligations, security, and dispute resolution.
Children
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children.
Your Privacy Choices
Visitors may block or clear cookies through browser settings and can avoid using a third-party search tool. Depending on applicable law, a person may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information submitted directly to us. Official jail or court data must be addressed to the agency that created it. Alabama public-record access is governed in part by Alabama Code §§36-12-40 and 36-12-45; those laws do not make this private site the custodian.
